Miss Susie M Abbott a resident of West Concord for 62 years died at 327 Main Street last Thursday morning. Born in New Jersey July 24 1869 she was in her 51st year. She worked with the Christian Science Monitor of Boston and was active in Willow Rebekah lodge. Survived by niece Edith M Abbott sister in law Louise C Abbott and another niece Mrs Theodore K Spencer. Funeral at MacRae funeral home 16 Belknap Street with burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Concord announces the engagement of Edward K. True son of Mr and Mrs E Payson True to Mildred Richenburg daughter of Mr and Mrs Frederick Richenburg Roslindale Massachusetts. Both graduates hold architecture related degrees from MIT with True completing architectural engineering in 1939. No wedding date yet set.

Wellesley High School edged Concord 41 to 36 at Emerson Park. Top scorer was Mert Banborn with 12 points, earning second in the 100 and first in the 220 and high jump. Billy Ambrose won the mile and 880, while Captain Bob Hawkes led Concord in several events.
Concord and Middlesex County league clash ended 4-2 as Concord surged with a run in each of the sixth and seventh frames after tying 2-2 in the opener. Stoneham led with solid defense and late scoring while the visitors yielded scattered hits. This victory marks Concords fourth win of the season, matching their four losses.

Concord Mothers' Club hosted a party for mothers and guests Monday evening May 13 at the Parish House of the Trinitarian Congregational Church on Walden Street. The program featured readings by Miss Margery Stevens of Medford and music by the Harmony String Quartet, with violin performed by Mrs De Edwardson.
Mrs Moncrieff Cochran announces the engagement of her daughter Miss Mary Holyoke Cochran to David Emerson of Rock Road Concord. Miss Cochran completes her senior year at New Hampshire State College and is known as a skater. Emerson, Harvard graduate 1938, works with the Pratt & Whitney aircraft firm in East Hartford Connecticut. No definite wedding date set.
In Emerson Playground action Monday, Herronville toppled Bedford 6 to 1, with Willie Hineman starting on the mound before Junie Tolman finished. Standings show Herronville at 7 wins and 1 loss, Sleepy Hollow at 4 and 0, Hubbardville 0 and 1, and Dast Quarter of 2 and 0.
