On Wednesday evening the trustees of the EX Institution gathered for a quarterly meeting with corporators to discuss operations. The session followed a dinner, with Vive-presi Todd present and Samuel Hoa noted in the event report.
At West Convord Cub Pack 33 a meeting of the Cub Pack Committee den mothers and packmaster decided to call off activities due to an epidemic of measles. Regular den meetings are cancelled until April and the puppet show is postponed to the next pack meeting on Wednesday April 21.
President Julian Ballou treasurer Burleigh Pratt and director Stedman Buttrick spoke briefly on the history and operation of the Institution. Joseph Earl Perry, president of Newton Savings Bank and former Bank Commissioner, emphasized thrift banks' role in a free enterprise economy. The meeting aimed to familiarize corporators with the Institution and the broader Savings Bank landscape.

Col Ottis M Whitney of the Governors Council led Concord Post V F W members at a reception for State Commander William Hallisey in Marlboro Tuesday night. Commander Robert E Sheehan could not attend due to illness and was confined in Cushing Hospital Framingham.
Miss Higgin of West Concord Mass joins six months service at the U S Marine Hospital in Staten Island New York as her cadet nurse class of 1948 finishes training. The final Mass General cadet class heads to graduation in June with outdoor ceremonies on Bulfinch lawn the first since the war. Higgins will be joined later by roommate Miss Kathleen Dev for the three years of cadet training.
Concord public schools will close at noon Friday in observance of Good Friday. Classes resume Monday morning at regular hours.

The Maynard School held a vaccination clinic for all four classes to boost immunity against a diphtheria-like illness. Dr. A P distee and health officials led the effort, thanking Rare Fornell and school staff for their cooperation in a successful program.
