Fatal Automobile Train Collision Kills Five Men
Five men from Sudbury and nearby towns died in a wreck when their car was struck by a locomotive near Marlboro. The deceased are John Stemplesky Adam Wasuik Joseph Lubin Joseph Marchienis and Basil Zabreski who survived with serious injuries. The engineer and fireman reported limited visibility and the car was dragged onto the rail. Marchienis left a will stating he bequeathed everything to his sister.

Fire damages river street dwelling owned by Merriam Co
A fire broke out at a dwelling on River Street owned by the A Merriam Co at 3 am on Thursday. The alarm came from the mill whistle and the factory fire department extinguished the blaze after interior damage occurred.
