1937 ILS Class Holds Reunion and Awards Prizes
West Concord Concord High School class of 1937 celebrated its 25th reunion at Musketaquid Sportsmen's Club with a catered smorgasbord and dance. Plans were led by Virginia Tucker William Bent Mary Bent John Bent Jr William Bulger John Collins and Loretta Sheehan. Guests Frank Googins and Enos Held attended. George MacKenzie served as toastmaster. Awards honored Alfreda Hosem for least change, Edward Chisholm for least change, James Doherty for traveling farthest, Edward Murphy for most and youngest child, Virginia Hill for most grandchildren, Dorothy Scribner for being married the longest, Dr Gordon Winchell for most degrees, and Patricia Carey for traveling most since graduation.

Fire Causes $5,000 Damage to Bedford Home
An early morning fire at 44 Great Road Bedford caused about $5,000 in damage to a two and a half story dwelling. Officials believe careless discarded matches started the blaze which spread from the second floor to the roof, with significant smoke and water damage. The owner was reportedly Joseph Agrillo.
