Walter McClinatham was at home Sunday. George Blume and family of Lexington spent Sunday in town. Mr and Mrs C G Durkee are spending a few weeks at Lunenburg with their daughter Mrs J A Whitcomb.
Fred S. Whitcomb purchased a Ford touring car from J. M. Hartwell of Littleton. The Civic Federation season wraps with a June 21 meeting at GAR hall. All men are welcome, don’t miss it.
Social notes from Concord include visits by Mr and Mrs Benjamin Ingham and Mr and Mrs Everett Tierce, a New York resident at a summer home, a new Dodge touring car, a birth at Crescent Road, and a party hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary AOH. Upcoming events feature a Children’s Sunday concert, a McAllister school supper, and a lawn stage production of Prunella by Concord Academy on June 16. A Pilgrim pageant in Plymouth counts Charles Noll as business manager. Vanderhoof Jr. and a sister newborn Philip Waterman Vanderhoof Jr arrived recently at Deaconess Hospital. Elizabeth Ann Sullivan died, with burial in St Bernard’s. William L. Dee, graduate of Massachusetts Normal Art School, reflects wartime service. John Kennedy of Concord Junction appears in a Phi Alpha Delta production, with an omission later corrected. The club reports eighty-three dollars in receipts and fifty dollars set aside for a pool table fund.
Maynard guarantors met at the high school and heard Miss Leona of Sabind Ohio the advance agent for the Chautauqua plans for a five day event starting July 7 at the high school grounds. This fifth year shows growing attendance with 61 guarantors and will feature top speakers and city theatre talent.
Mr and Mrs Forrest A. Parker moved to Maynard last week. Mr and Mrs William Newsham have returned to make their home at West Acton. Mr and Mrs Will S. Fletcher and Miss Dora made the trip over the Mohawk Trail Sunday.
