Dudley Road Bride Weds at Home Service in Winchester

Miss Barnes of Dudley Road wed at a home ceremony near Winchester Connecticut. Rev Frank W minister performed the rite with the bride given in marriage by her father. The groom is son of Mr and Mrs J Kelso of Brookville. Attending were Rowse of Littleton as mother of the bride and BR Wingard of Lexington as best man. After the ceremony the couple planned a trip to Torrington. The bride is a graduate of Lexington High and Framingham State Teachers College, now teaching at a local Adanmins school and preparing for a career in teaching.

Concord resident Dennis Gleason died at his Thoreau Street home after a brief illness. Born October 24, 1866 in Stow, he was 73, nearly 74. He worked as a gardener and caretaker of the Hathaway estate in Lincoln. Survived by daughter Julia Gleason and sister Mrs James M Russell, both of Concord. Funeral held from his home with a high mass at St Bernard's Church followed by burial in St Bernard's Cemetery.

Frances Wiley Bledsoe Weds Augustus Soffriti in Danville

Concord couple announces the marriage of their daughter Frances Wiley Bledsoe to Augustus Soffriti son of Mr and Mrs George Soffriti. The ceremony occurred in Danville on June 10. Soffriti a well known athlete attended Concord High Boston College Tilton and the University of Alabama. He recently played for the Danville baseball club with plans to reside in Danville.

Concord Semi-Pro Tourney Schedule Set for July

Arthur B. Carey of Concord has nearly complete plans for the state semi pro tournament opening July 7 at Marlboro with a 1:30 doubleheader Lawrence versus Somerville and Fall River against Athol. The event runs daily to July 21 with 16 teams offered including a possible Concord entry under a local sponsor. Concord won the Medford state title two years ago.

Injured In Motorcycle Accident In Concord

Charles D. Hallman aged 25 of Fitchburg Turnpike sustained multiple bruises and contusions when his motorcycle left the road at Sudbury and Powder Mill road. He was found unconscious after the crash and taken by Patrolman Fred Nolan to Dr Randolph Piper on Sudbury road, then home.

Mrs Rose B Doncette-Holland of 124 Commonwealth Avenue dies at home Sunday after a long Concord residence. Born in Nova Scotia on June 6 1871 she is survived by her husband William and several children from a former marriage. Funeral services were held from her late home Tuesday morning.

Funeral Held in Waltham for James Kerrigan

The funeral of James Kerrigan age 69 a former Concord resident was held from Route Funeral Home with a requiem high mass at St Mary's Church Waltham. He died last Saturday and is survived by his brother Herbert of Waltham. Burial was in St Bernard's Cemetery. Concord Red Cross Chapter Runs Summer Classes at Lake Walden

British Honor Soldiers at Arlington Graves

British veterans gathered at Monument Square and North Bridge for a wreath laying ceremony honoring fallen soldiers. Sergeant William Peters of Boston led troops with George Talla bury of Arlington and retired commander Leo Carte of New Hampshire as marshal. Taps sounded as Allen French spoke for the Selectmen and Robert W. Mortimore gave the principal address.
