Mrs Anson Wheeler of Concord announces the engagement of her daughter Miss Marion Wheeler to Almy Dwight Washburn of Malden son of Mrs C H Washburn. Miss Wheeler is a Concord and Wheaton College graduate and a Concord Woman's Club member. Mr Washburn is a Harvard Class of 1912 graduate and Boston Harvard Club member. No wedding date has been set.

John Jenkins of this town was arrested in Middleton Nova Scotia on January 3 on suspicion of a $12,000 jewelry robbery from Miss Mary Worthington of Webster Avenue. He was recaptured last Friday in a Musquodoboit hotel while disguised as a lumberjack. Jenkins admitted his identity to police.

Sudbury Fire Claims Life of Jeremy Austin in Home Blast
A Sudbury blaze early Saturday killed 7 year old Jeremy Austin in a four room home near the school. The fire, which destroyed furniture and left the ruin hot and tinder dry, started after 2 45 am and spread rapidly through the roof. Neighbors fought the flames but could not enter. Jeremy lived with his father who was alone in the house and died likely in his sleep. Funeral services were held Monday at the home of his daughter Mrs Stanley Rice with Rev Clark presiding.

Miss Georgia Ives died in the fire, which investigators say began in the L shaped section where over 100 hens were housed. Only eight hen remains were found, raising questions about the fate of the rest and possible poultry theft as a motive.
