Town Report Reveals 1934 Purchase Controversy Seeks Accountability
In a forceful critique, the author urges clarity on who financed the Boarding Moleuse Town House and accuses voters of misattributing blame. The 1934 town report records a December 10, 1934 decision to acquire land and a building for under 3700 dollars, known as the Assabet and Middlesex House. It clarifies Donald Lent’s role, noting he was not a Selectman when payment occurred, and calls for careful selection of town leaders.
