W C Hancock Dies in Concord After 50 Years as Resident
Concord resident William Clark Hancock died at his home 22 Lexington Road after a three year illness. Born February 5 1862 in Cornwall England he moved to America as a young man and married Lucy Hocking in Boston. A machinist by trade he ran his own shop in Concord and was highly regarded. Private funeral services were held and he was cremated at Mt Auburn Cambridge. He is survived by his wife and daughter Miss Lucy Hancock of Newton.

Maynard Officials Meet State WPA About Auditorium Plans
Maynard town leaders chaired by E. Marsden and secretary D. Lent met with Paul Edwards the state WPA administrator in Boston yesterday. Edwards pledged to cut red tape and to assist with plans for an auditorium at the Town House. The Selectmen also conferred with Middlesex County Commissioners in Cambridge on road work under Chapter 90 and Farm to Market projects funded entirely by the federal government.

Funeral for Mrs. Shirley Jones at St. Bridget's
The funeral of Mrs. Shirley Jones of 10 Tremont Street was held Friday morning. A requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Bridget's Church with bearers David and James Sheehan Thomas and James Finan and Daniel and John Moynihan. Burial followed at St. Bridget's Cemetery. Flowers and mass cards showed the affection of relatives neighbors and friends.

Mrs Delia Hayward wife of Fred Hayward died at her Maynard home after a long illness. A Hazardville Connecticut native aged 70 she lived in Maynard for 50 years. Survived by husband a son Frank of Pawtucket RI and two sisters Mrs George Newton of Maynard and Mrs Elizabeth Dowding of Rockville CT. Funeral held Saturday at home with Rev Mathew A Vance officiating.
