Eight killed in New York bus collision injures Miss Rock
Miss Rock traveling from New York to Concord Mass was saved from the crash by first aid in the Bronx. David and Joseph Benache of Bedass were listed among the eight dead and several others injured when a New York bound bus collided with a car on the Boston Road. Miss Rock arrived at her destination in Concord and is reported in fair condition after treatment. The Surrette Music School connection is noted, but details are scarce.

Word arrives of the death of Charles Ainsworth Hastings in Lewiston Idaho on February 21 1930 at age 74. A West Acton native he rose to Idaho state offices including State Treasurer and State Senator.
