Concord Club Plans Concert by Visiting Artists
Under Mrs John G Morse chairing the Concord Women's Club music committee a concert is set for Monday February 27 in the vestry of First Parish Meeting House. Featured are Miss Tsuya Matsuki pianist Miss Olive Macy Appleton coloratura soprano and George Millroad violinist. Appleton a New England Conservatory graduate won state and New England district young artists contests. Millroad is a sixteen year old from Toledo Ohio who has given annual concerts and trains with Harrison Keller. Matsuki a Japanese American previously performed for the Concord Musical Club and studied at NE Conservatory and Tobias Matthay School in London.

The body of Wayne W Blossom, long time officer at the Massachusetts Reformatory in Concord, laid to rest in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery with military and Masonic rites. A firing squad from the 182nd Infantry Massachusetts National Guard fired over the grave. Blossom, who moved from Hudson to Florida in later years, had 70 years as a Mason and 69 years as an Odd Fellow, plus active membership in several fraternal groups.
