Concord Caucus Narrowly Fills Town Posts in Brief Session
At the Concord Citizens Caucus in Veterans Building the sole contest arose between William T. McDermott and Townsend for Town Treasurer and Collector of Taxes. McDermott got 41 votes to Townsend's 47 for Tax Collector. Townsend led 107 to 109 for Treasurer and Collector. Judge Edward B. Caiger will return to the Board of Selectmen. M. Wardwell was also nominated. The caucus closed quickly. Town Meeting is set for March 1 with a 32-article warrant.

Mary Garside Loyal Resident Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Mary Lilien Garside of 16 McKinley street died at her home Thursday after a long illness at age 65. Born in Lancashire Briz she lived in town 28 years and is survived by James Garside husband Samuel son and two daughters Mrs Harold Hanson and Mrs Charles Luker. Funeral was held Saturday at home with services by Mr. and Mrs Beatrice Jordan and burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
