A deadly crash on lower Main Street near Lake Boon killed ten year old Kenneth Munyon and his six year old sister Evelyn as a truck collide with a car carrying four adults and five children. Kenneth died instantly and Evelyn later died at Marlboro Hospital from a fractured skull.

The West Concord 084 Fellows lodge celebrated the dedication of its new hall with a ceremonious event featuring Grand Master Lewis S. Burns and a host of officials. Representatives from over twenty-five lodges attended as remarks highlighted the dignity and unity of the Odd Fellows. Light refreshments followed a male quartet performance and the building committee was credited for their efforts.

The Merry Maids 4-H Club announces officer selections with Frances Callahen as president, Helen King as vice president, Sybil Gale as chaplain, Bedford as game leader, and Roberta Rice as treasurer.
The Feast of St. Blase was observed today with a special church service. Throats were blessed after the seven o clock mass this morning. Candies were blessed before the mass yesterday, Candlepias Day.

Plans completed for the annual St Michael’s parish reunion at Bedford on February 8. O’Leary’s Irish Minstrels provide music and card games are offered for attendees. Friends will renew acquaintances in the school auditorium.
A local obituary notes a resident of the Stow area wife and mother of three sons Edmund Deane and Leon with daughters Jennie and Miss Deane of Maynard and Mrs Keep of Northfield. The funeral is Friday afternoon with services at the church and burial at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs Mildred H Hunt er librarian of Sudbury Library for four years died at home on Dudley road after a long illness. Born in Worcester she lived in Sudbury 25 years and leaves two sons. She was active in the Sudbury Woman's Club and Congregational Church. Funeral Wednesday at 2 pm at the Congregational Church with burial in Worcester Cemetery.
Ten homes in different parts of the town held a telephone whist and bridge party Friday night to help St Michael's parish. A goodly sum was realized and all reported a good time.
