Pioneering South Acton Oil Man Built a Thriving Firm
Henry W. Bursaw founded Maynard and Acton Oil Co in 1925 starting with a horse drawn wagon and five gallon cans. From that modest beginning the firm expanded to 375000 gallon capacity with plans for more, serving Marlboro to Waltham and supplying gas oil kerosene and greases with prompt service and a cordial staff. Five sons work with the company which prides itself on quality fuel and home burner innovation.
