Miss Priscilla Darling returned from a visit with Miss Emily Walton and Miss Carol Keyes. The group traveled four days to the western part of the state as far as Albany New York with Cambridge friends.
Mrs J A Lips visits New Haven to spend a week with her son. Mr and Mrs F E Cutler travel with cousin Miss Arvilla Hambler of Hudson New Hampshire for a four day trip to the northwest part of the state and Vermont visiting relatives involved with the Franklyn Forestry Company of New England.
Members of the Unitarian Laymen's League entertained visiting ministers with a tour of Lexington and Concord sites on Thursday afternoon. After sightseeing, half the party returned to Lexington for dinner while the others enjoyed a fine meal at the Unitarian Parish house in Concord.
The Concord Board of Health releases the Milk Inspector's August report listing fat and solids content for several farms and plants including Punkatasset River Road First National Cooperative Area Bellows Farm Clark Nevens and Davis. Inspector J A Macone conducted the examination.

Early Sunday, a Ford coupe won by a man and woman collided with a motorcycle at Derby's Corner. The crash crushed the axle and pinned the couple under the car. They were aided by Nine Acre Corner residents and taken to Alfred Uhier's house, then to hospital. The man suffered facial lacerations. the woman endured a nervous shock but was not seriously hurt. A Pawtucket party later ferried them home. The motorcycle rider was uninjured and not blamed.
At the playgrounds Friday the Tobin All Stars defeated the Waltham Tigers in a tight contest. Olsen led the Tobin scoring with a triple, while a disputed first base call by umpire Duggan sparked excitement among spectators.
Excitement at Nine Acre Corner as a horse drawing a carriage with bathers from Tikestele and the bathers were thrown out. No one was badly injured.
Mr and Mrs William Morris marked fifty years of marriage with a quiet home observance and a public reception at Odd Fellows hall. About 300 lodge members welcomed the couple with a confetti shower as they arrived, with guests including Mrs Elizabeth Clark and Fred Randbil. The couple, natives of the church born August 20, 1871, moved to America in 1872 and settled in Maynard in 1881. Their daughter Annie E. Lawton and son Lee E. Morris survive, both active in Mizpah Rebekah Lodge where Mrs Morris serves as recording secretary.
Architect Wayne Stiles of Boston outlines a nine hole links for Marlboro area plans. Construction begins with 36 workers and aims to open winter greens soon, full greens expected next summer. Charter members exceed 125 from Maynard Acton Concord and Sudbury. Officers include George N. Gutteridge president and Frank E. Sanderson treasurer.
Herbert E. Brown, a promising young cartoonist, has several of his comedy drawings accepted by Winsol Co for a national advertising campaign. He has entered Winsol's employ and they will use all his drawings.

A long list of visitors and guests fills Concord social notes. Among entries are Miss Richardson visiting a former resident at a city home, Marion and Mr Clark returning from Palmer, and many travelers from Boston Oshkosh Auburn and Vermont. The Marlboro branch tracks undergo repairs and a Farm Bureau picnic brings school children to Concord playgrounds.
Hon and Mrs Rolfe Bradbury of North Acton returned from Newport Rhode Island where they were guests of Mr and Mrs J H Drury. The trip was made by auto.
Miss Ina McCabe visits relatives in Pawtucket Rhode Island this week. Numerous notices detail visits and small social happenings including Ruth Brown Neut Amiel with Helen Connell, John and Frances Ahearn, and a family gathering at Derby Street for Robert Peterson’s fifth birthday with many young attendees.
Miss Dorothy Dusseault enjoys a week of vacation visiting a friend in Campella. Miss C Elizabeth Tuttle visited friends in Plymouth last Sunday. Acton Center residents C D Wood and Misses Low Isa and Jessie visit. Horace F Tuttle and sons Har lan and William toured West Dennis. The Pilgrim at Plymouth event featured Miss Ellis of Acton and West Dennis with Mr and Mrs Albert Durkee. The Harvard professor George P Baker wrote The Pilgrim Spirit to commemorate the 300th anniversary, praised as the finest pageantry in years.
