Lantern theft leads to temporary chauffeur license suspension
On July 23 two lanterns were stolen from a roadwork site at the corner of Bedford Street and Old Bedford Road. A hired driver used the lanterns as headlights, creating a dangerous risk. The matter was reviewed by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles, Frank Goodwin, and the chauffeur's license was suspended for ten days on the charge of not being fit to operate a motor vehicle.

Oldest Male Resident Cyrus Clark Celebrates 94th Birthday
Cyrus Clark, Concord’s oldest male resident and holder of the Houston Post goldheaded cane, marked his 94th birthday Tuesday at his Estabrook Road home. He has run a farm in the family for about 60 years, born August 20 1827, with Revolutionary stock. Clark shops twice weekly, travels to Boston alone, and remains active in varied weather.
