Funeral of Bedford Hero William Walter Hamilton
The body ofWilliam Walter Hamilton the first Bedford World War dead to return home arrived in Lexington last Saturday. It was escorted to the Anthony Hunt Hamilton Post headquarters in the town hall for services conducted by the Legion Post. The flag draped casket was then moved to Shawsheen cemetery where a firing squad gave three volleys and buglers sounded Taps.
