John Kennedy returns from Tampa to join the Concord Junction area as John MacEachern comes home from St. John's Seminary in Brighton to spend the spring with his parents Mr and Mrs A J MacEachern.
Aecon McGarry born to Mr and Mrs Edward McGarry on Saturday evening. Mother and baby are reported well. Mr Earl Rattler moves into Pine street residence while Mr E B Wetherbee leaves for Putney Georgia to resume business after visiting his Main street home.
John H. Hardy, retiring president, reports Virginia orchards as large well cared for and aimed at Boston market. Nashoba Fruit Producers Association names Albert Jenks president Dexter Dodd vice president Robert Cobb secretary Gordon Hutchins treasurer. E M Davis C B Flagg W R Westcott P H Babcock named directors. E H Priest elected auditor. A regional plan for spraying pink spray timing discussed.
John A Finigan auctioneer announces an antiques sale Monday April 24 1922 at 10 am in Tuttle's stable Walden street Concord. Numerous items include Bennett top buggy low boy banjo clock rare old secretary from a local family and attic storage in Lincoln for 50 years plus chairs mirrors rugs pictures glassware and bric a brac. Rain or shine cash terms. Attendees bid at their own price.
Miss Elizabeth W. Roberts and Miss Grace Keyes returned from their travels. Sabina Smith spent Easter weekend with her sister Mrs William E Nott of Beverly. Charles E B Toman Jr visits Wilmington Delaware over holidays. George F Goss of the B M R R bought 213 acres at Mooreland Lexington road and digs for a bungalow foundation. William Lomansee planted 60000 tulip bulbs on Lexington road for a grand bloom. The Boston Women’s Golf Association opened the season at Oakley Wollaston Commonwealth and the Country Club. Mrs David A Baldwin was the sole scorer for Commonwealth against North Shore on Monday April 10.
On Lexington road Geo B Clark's tractor toppled in soft mud trapping him under the machine. Firemen and bystanders freed him and he was taken to Deaconess hospital with a badly bruised body and possible leg injury. His son Laurence raised the alarm after seeing his father beneath the tractor.
The West Acton ball club held a social dance at I. O. O. F. hall Monday night with Newell's Orchestra. Miss Alice Geuthner and Miss Edna Woodard spent Sundays with local families. The Easter service at St. Elizabeth Church featured notable music, and Mrs. E. M. Winslow of Fitchburg gave an instructional talk on bee culture and its role in orcharding.
