The Murphy and Snyder printing shop was entered Friday night and $40 in cash and valuables were stolen. Suspects point to a recent visitor who lived in town for a couple of months and has not been seen since the break.
Celestino Primiano Toivo Ruphisto Edward Helander George Kansaniva and Wilho Keto completed examinations at Hudson Friday evening for final naturalization and will receive diplomas for work in the Maynary evening school classes of the Americanization department. Several other class members await examinations later due to delayed certificates from Washington. Miss Katherine Forbes principal of the Marist school overseeing the citizenship class congratulates the class on a one hundred percent pass rate.
A Maynard Auxiliary delegation brought sunshine to Groton hospital servicemen on Sunday. Home made cakes pies candy cigars and salted peanuts were handed out by Mrs Mary Jones Mrs Thomas Sweeney Mrs Evelyn Coulter Miss Mary Sweeney Miss Grace Sweeney and Mrs Jamey Led gard. David G Sharpe and James J Led gard lent their automobiles to transport the group. An excellent concert was held in the afternoon under a Lowell delegation.
White Cross Guild announced 200 enrollments from the recent drive. Sewing classes meet twice weekly at Main Street School. Thursday’s meeting is omitted. John Maley presided and introduced Dorothy Hannon and Helen Morgan in a plane duet, Miss Margaret O'Brien who is praised as an elocutionist, and Richard Hilferty in a vocal solo. Nellie May read a Current Events paper.
Josiah Herrick and Harry White delivering milk on Great Road were nearly injured when a Ford sedan owned by Michael Saarela of Arthur Street crashed into the horse and wagon near Fred Bothoyd’s home. The wagon tipped, milk sprayed, and the car overturned. Saarela was arrested and fined ten dollars for drunkenness and twenty five dollars for driving while intoxicated at Concord District Court. Herrick suffered minor injuries. White escaped with abrasions.
Review lauds Concord Players for a strong cast led by D. Ripley Gage as William Hallo Magee and Eleanor Ballou as Mary Norton. Praises include Han s W. Miller as Lou Max and Mrs Roger D. Swain as Mrs Rhodes with ensemble accuracy. Engagement announced: Aletta A. Lillibridge of New York to Allen French of Concord.
Concord Junction reports the engagement of Miss Mildred Thurston daughter of Mrs J Thurston to Mr Charles Osborne. Also announced is the arrival of a daughter at the home of Mr and Mrs Joseph Fitzpatrick in Westboro. Mother and baby are doing well.
James Nagle, recently elected to fill the vacancy on the board caused by Benjamin Derby's resignation, was appointed secretary at a meeting late in the week. A Concord Junction resident since 1886, he served nine years on the Board of Overseers of the Poor and was chairman the last eight, introducing reforms for the town's poor and Poor House. He also served as postmaster from 1914 to 1922 and is regarded as an able town official. Tracey Pops has joined the payroll of the R. J. Rodway Co of Boston.
Sudbury resident 82 year old Dadmun died at 10 a m Tuesday. He lived in Sudbury Center and ran a trucking business before retiring. Survived by wife N Maria Horton and three sons Will Arch and Hal Cadman plus a deceased son Frank. Funeral Sunday from the family house with burial at Marlboro Farm Road Cemetery.

The Sandy Burr Golf Club is named as purchaser for the farm.
The Methodist fair and supper was a success netting $128. The supper was served with chairs and tables managed by a group of women led by Mrs William Labaree, Mrs Haley, Mrs Wallace, and Mrs Annie L. Moore. Tables run by Mrs Davison, Mrs Stiles, Mrs Saunders, Mrs Gleason, Mrs Davis, Mrs Chas Badwin.
