Police Chief William G. Ryan was surprised at a luncheon in Concord to mark 25 years with the Concord Police Department. The event at Howard Johnson Restaurant featured attendees including Edward F. Loughlin Judge Mackey McWalter and Town Treasurer Thomas Garrity Jr. Ryan, a World War I veteran, has led the department since April 15 1922.
