Winston-Salem report states Mrs Idx Ball Warren and Samuel Preston Christy were found guilty of murder in the first degree. Warren faces the electric chair on September 24, becoming possibly the first woman executed in the state. Christy, an accessory after the fact, was sentenced to three years in prison.

Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren were also present in a large family reunion. A bounteous dinner followed.
