Wedding in Laredo Links Herring Home Garden to Air Force Groom
Miss Patsy Ruth Smith and Lt. Gene H. Arthur wed in a bloom filled outdoor ceremony at Mrs. Isia Herring's garden in Laredo. The couple, who met in Comanche and Brownwood circles, planned a reception then a trip to Comanche and Monterrey before settling in Waco where Arthur will be stationed. The groom earned his wings the morning of the wedding amid Laredo Air Force Base ceremonies, marking a union tied to lifelong friendships and local ties.
