The Senate Investigating Committee in Chicago hears about large Republican assessments from cities and states for campaign donations toward a Republican president. Democratic chairman Moore cites no formal plan and says Democrats had only $14,000,000.
The Chief announces a switch to pay in advance due to rising paper costs. Beginning October 15 subscriptions will be discontinued at expiration unless renewed. Readers are asked to check their label dates and settle any due amounts to avoid being dropped from the list.
Detroit Sept 21 Henry Ford announced immediate re establishment of pre war prices for all Ford Motor company products with reductions from 14 percent on motor trucks to 31 percent on small autos. He urged stopping war prices and profiteering to restore pre war conditions and prosperity. No wage cuts will occur at Ford plants despite the price cuts.
Mr. Cranke and his wife formerly of Houston have moved to Comanche and occupy the Elkins home in the northwest. He oversees old land interests and once edited the Laredo Times. He also captained a Texas military company for eleven years. We welcome them to our city.
Senator Kenyon pressed Mr. Moore on groups backing anti Prohibition efforts and read a prospectus listing Democrats and Republicans tied to campaign finance. Moore denied affiliation with the associations and noted possible misuses of names by opponents. Discussions touched on the Forward Looking Association of Ohio and the Ohio Liquor License League and their roles in past campaigns.

A G Hall, general agent of International Life Insurance, is among four top life insurers for the year ending July 30 1920. He was named Fourth Vice-President of the companys 100000 club. Jim D Slack will run the new office in Comanche with O M Simmons shifting focus to Brown County.

Comanche High School fields an unusually heavy squad for fall football under Coach Killian and Captain Lewis Martin. Mr H M Warrenfeltz of Emmitsburg Maryland, cashier of Emmitsburg Savings Bank, is in Comanche this week renewing old acquaintances and resting for his health. He lived here about twenty years ago, left in 1901, visited in 1907, and now renews his subscription for another year.
