Repairs Begin on Highway 67 Surface Project
Preliminary work for the hard surfacing of Highway 67 started Monday with State Highway Department crews under John S. Hart repairing the dump at the Brath County Line. Hot Check Law Drives Offenders in Comanche County
Since January 1, 27 people have been charged with hot check offenses in Comanche county. Two young men paid fines of 23.90 dollars after pleading guilty to swindling by hot checks, matching prior cases in a county clerks office session. J H Huff Jewelry Store was burglarized last Friday night by prying open the front door. A seven jewel gold watch was missing after the morning check. The thief is thought to have taken the repaired watch from the desk and escaped through the back door after turning the night latch as the night watchman neared the front.
