James Rector Burton son of Mr and Mrs W H Stone of Comanche married Ruth Lewis of Austin in Raymondsville on September 1. The couple lived with Burton’s parents near Comanche after the wedding. Mrs Lewis is the daughter of Mrs John Hill Lewis of Austin and works in the comptroller's office. Burton teaches Spanish and dramatics in Austin schools.

Burial for Nelse Crain in Sipe Springs
Nelse Crain died at his home in Sipe Springs on Thursday September 12 after a ten day illness. Funeral services were held Friday at the Sipe Springs Cemetery with Eller Reese Thompson officiating. Burial under Masonic Lodge direction. Survived by widow and adopted daughter Mrs Small. four granddaughters and several great grandchildren attended.
