In a special called meeting the School Board approved architectural plans for the new High School. Bid opening is set for 8:00 p.m. October 14 at the Elementary School Auditorium. The Standard Rate and Data Service reports higher local retail activity in Comanche County with food sales at 8.306 million dollars up from 7.136 million. Car and auto equipment sales fell to 6.433 million from 6.985 million while general merchandise reached 4.944 million and apparel rose from 69 thousand to 774 thousand. Furniture and home furnishings added 1.052 million, up from 906 thousand.
