Death of James Fuller in accidental shotgun discharge near Brownwood

James Fuller 16, son of S. R. and Mrs. Fuller of 608 East Depot street, was killed Saturday at Bethel while dove hunting. A 20 gauge shotgun discharged while his companions Charles Alford and Bill Lambert were away from the car, hitting him in the neck. Funeral services were held Monday at the London and Burton chapel. The Fuller family is related to the Joe Marshall family in Brownwood Comanche history.

First Driver Passes Test For New License Issuance

Comanche County Livestock Association Re-elects Officers

At the regular meeting in Comanche Friday night September 16 the board re-elected Tom Holmsley as treasurer and J R Eanes as secretary. Directors plan for fiscal years 43 and 44 and seek to sponsor volunteer contributions to fund livestock development in the county. The association aims to work with the county agent and cooperate with schools and vocational agriculture teachers. The August meeting suggested permanent grounds and buildings.
