Crime Wave Strikes Comanche County Burglaries and Auto Theft Reported
A spree Saturday night and Sunday morning saw multiple burglaries in Comanche County. Wilson's Lake Eanes Road home was entered via a cut screen and pried window, with about $600 in cash taken from a suitcase. The Nelson home near Highway 36 was robbed of bedclothes, clothing, a radio, and other items. A 1954 Ford was stolen from near the hospital, later recovered at Meridian. A suspect confessed to the car theft and is jailed in Cleburne on a check forgery charge. he is AWOL from the military. Sheriff Belve Bean and Texas Ranger George Roch assisted in the investigations.

Body found after search for prominent rancher Marvin Barrett
The body of 70 year old Marvin Barrett a Wilson community rancher in Comanche County was found Monday morning after a weekend search that began Sunday afternoon. Deputy Fox said Barrett was last seen Sunday afternoon with his twin brother when he walked a pasture to find a missing bull. The death was ruled natural likely a heart attack.

Clarence A. Rea, 76, died at his home 801 E Grand after years of ill health following a two day pneumonia.
