A week long Comanche County Teachers Institute concluded with high praise for sessions led by San Marcos Normal’s Birdwell and East Texas Normal’s Blankenship. Teachers from elementary through high school discussed life oriented education, citizenship training, and certification reforms while state figures urged active involvement. Resolutions honored County Superintendent for improvements in sanitation, facilities, salaries, and Interscholastic League support.

He fences his farm and releases 30 to 35 hogs to clean fallen forms and larvae from the cotton field, claiming soil loosening with no damage to crops and that hogs fatten on the weevil parts. Starling is described as a man of high integrity and reliability.

At the Las Vegas Democratic convention Harry Slack of Gallup was nominated for state treasurer after Bernalillo county switch to his favor on the sixth ballot. A. T. Hannett delivered the nominating speech and Slack’s victory signals a Democratic win for New Mexico.

Methodist Revival in Comanche Ends After 15 Days

The Methodist revival at the Comanche tabernacle concluded last Sunday night amid bad weather and political excitement. Rev W E Hawkins Jr preached plainly while Harlan J Roper led singing. 55 public professions occurred, 35 new members joined, and a free will offering of 601 was collected for the evangelist, singer, and pianist.
