Reverend Reese Rites Marked By Fellowship At Baptist Church
The obituary notes funeral rites for Mr. Reese held at the Baptist church on Sunday, with a large attendance of friends and classmates. Born May 5, 1895 in Comanche, he rose from hardship to high school completion in two years, later serving as district clerk, sheriff, Texas Ranger, and Shell executive before his death at 57 after a heart attack in his Colorado City hotel room prior to a radio appearance. He is survived by his widow Mary Hayes Reese and son John Hayes Reese, with brothers Jim and Paschal and three sisters.
