Baptist Revival Starts November 3 At Local Church
Plans are nearing completion for an intensive revival at the First Baptist Church beginning Sunday November 3. Rev. John G. Lambrides, pastor, says Dr. Harry Lee Spencer of Brownwood will preach. Steve Heather of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Brownwood will lead the singing. Spencer is an evangelist and pastor. Heather is a noted song leader in church work and Lions Club events.

Corporal Roberts Killed In Army Vehicle Mishap Near Gila Bend
Corporal Edward L. Roberts 21 husband of Willie Jean Ripley and son of Mrs. Rubin Roberts of Comanche died instantly when an Army truck he drove collided with another near Gila Bend Arizona. Military funeral held at Comanche Funeral Home with Veterans of Foreign Wars in charge and eleven soldiers from Camp Hood assisting. Roberts born Dec 29 1924 at Comanche married Sept 21 1941. survived by mother widow two sisters and two brothers. He served 33 months overseas with the Army Air Corps and re enlisted after honorable discharge last November. He was stationed at Camp Ajo Arizona at the time of the accident.

The studio will be on the upper floor of the former Smith law office in the Comanche square. Wells, husband of former Miss Marie Marshall, is a Kansas City native who served two years in the U S Army Signal Corps as a combat photographer.

Comanche Band Heads to Austin for Parade and Game
The Comanche High School Band traveled to Austin Saturday leaving before 5 AM and arriving at 9 AM. They joined a Parade of 30 bands through the Capitol area, toured sights, and attended the Texas Arkansas game at Memorial Stadium as guests of the Longhorn Band. Sponsors Chaffin and Morris praised the group as well behaved and a credit to Comanche. Band Mothers will sell sandwiches at football games and meet Monday after noon October 28.
