John Petit died last Sunday morning at age 83 or 84 at his Fleming area home after a long residence of about 50 years. Funeral services were held at his home and Whitney cemetery with Masonic rites. he leaves a wife and ten children, six in the county, all attending the funeral. He was a Pec citizen and Methodist.
