Byrd to Speak in Comanche for JFK LBJ Ticket

Senator Robert C Byrd of West Virginia will headline a 30 minute address in Comanche next Wednesday Oct 26. Event at the Comanche County Courthouse starts 630 pm with music and cookies and may move to the district courtroom if weather turns. The committee includes County Attorney James F Fanning State Representative Ben D Sudderth and Albert Brannan with Mayor John H Hail and County Judge Dwight M Brightman coordinating. Delegations from surrounding areas are expected and the public is invited to hear the senator in support of the Kennedy Lyndon Johnson ticket.

Young Farmer Organization Meets Tuesday

A Comanche County wide Young Farmer Chapter has formed and will hold a special meeting Tuesday night October 25 at the Comanche High School Building. Comanche High Carnival Aims to Fund Class Activities

Comanche High plans a Saturday carnival and Queen’s race to raise funds for yearlong class activities. Last year many groups including Senior, Junior, Sophomore, Freshman classes, FA groups, Warrior newspaper, Future Teacher Assn, Library Club, Student Council, Band and others received aid from the Carnival Fund.
