A Democratic rally will be held in the district courtroom Tuesday at 7:30 p m to perfect a county wide organization and conduct a county wide campaign. Judge C L McCartrey of Brownwood will be principal speaker.
The Comanche Mutual Aid Association led by J. M. Haynes secretary bought Circle No 2 of the Hamilton mutual aid and the Comanche Group No 2 known as the Old Group. The deal adds 350 Hamilton members to a combined 700 plus in Comanche Group No 2 and Group No 1 of the Comanche Mutual. The overall membership exceeds 1500 after about a year of efforts by Slayes and Norwood.

Will Enlarge Local Mill details Frank Cadenhead buying an interest in Farmers Mill now run by W H Huett. They plan to move operations to the M Atwood Furniture building on November 1 and add grinding, a mixer, and feed production for stock and poultry. Huett says they intend to create a very complete milling unit for the area.

Comanche Cotton Yard reported 2 480 bales received at noon Thursday, nine bales more than the previous year. In 1926 the same date saw 2 181 bales. Gustine Cotton Yard weighed 1 192 bales at noon Thursday.
Comanche High School Indians meet Gorman High School at Gorman at 3 30 in a third conference game. Gorman has two conference wins over Stephenville and Moran and is expected to be tougher than Dublin. If Johnson and Everett are fit, Comanche has a chance to win.

Mrs H N Goodson Miss Berta and Herbert of Georgetown visited relatives in Comanche Sunday. Rev Isaac Sellars Pioneer Baptist minister of Dallas is visiting his daughter Mrs C F St Clair. The 86 year old clergyman traveled by car to Comanche and returned home with the St Clairs from Abilene where he had been visiting.

The State Highway Commission let a contract to R B Sparks of Dallas for drainage and structures along 9.6 miles of Highway No 10 from Comanche to the Brown County line at a total bid of 426187.46. Sidney public school opens with 176 pupils on the first day, a record attendance surpassing last year by 16. 78 students are in the high school, including 20 in the senior class. County Supt. R. S. Walker Judge R. A. Luker and Rev. J. L. Rayesman attended the program at 9 oclock. The faculty remains largely the same with two changes: Readeh as principal and Miss Fay Stewart as third and fourth grade teacher. Other teachers include J. B. Cooper Supt., Mrs. S. N. Haynes English and girls coach, Mrs. Beulah Blackshear ph seventh grade, Mrs. J. B. Colopger fifth and sixth grade, and Miss Fay Hattox primary. The newest mens Fall suits at Slider and Lacy. Mr. and Mrs. Jot Sullivan of Hamilton were Comanche visitors Saturday and Sunday.
Mrs. M. E. Wooedward spent last week in Brownwood visiting her sons, Jess and Murrell.
County Agent J A Barton announces a countywide terracing school to be held on Thursday November 8 near Comanche with at least five representatives from each of the fifty districts. The event will use a county grading machine and will be aided by A K Short of the Federal Land Bank and M R Bentley of the A M College Extension. The program aims to teach farmers to terrace themselves, accelerating countywide soil conservation and terrace construction with a five year goal.
