Local Youth Charged With Car Theft
Comanche youth T. C. Masters was arrested in Brownwood Wednesday night and charged with stealing Aubrey Smiths car earlier that night in Comanche. The vehicle was recovered at the time of his arrest. Masters is jailed awaiting further proceedings.

Miss Berta Goodson Named Red Cross County Head
Miss Berta Goodson was elected chairman of the Red Cross Society of Comanche County at a Tuesday meeting. She is a teacher in Comanche West Ward and holds a master’s from Southwestern University, daughter of Mrs. Herbert Goodson. Other officers were re-elected, with E. E. Anthony as treasurer and J. R. Eanes directing Home Relief and Disaster. Clarence Huett will lead the county fund drive around November 11.

Comanche WPA worker Lester Pittman dies in car crash
Lester Pittman a 38 year old Comanche WPA road worker was killed Saturday night when the car on which he rode on the running board collided with a truck near Pa and Ma's Diner one block south of the Comanche square. Charges were filed against Delbert Flowers for driving while intoxicated. Funeral services were held Sunday at Stag Creek with Rev. Frazier in charge. He leaves a wife and three small children Kenneth Dale Nadie Jo and Carolyn Sue. He was born September 6 1903 in Corn County and had lived in the county most of his life moving to Comanche about a year ago.

Melowsky Couple Announce Birth of Leon Aaron
