Blanton Endorsed for Senate by Seventh District Democrats

The Seventh Congressional District Democratic Convention endorsed Thomas L. Blanton for the United States Senate in 1928 after nominating him for a sixth term in the Texas seventeenth district. Delegates attacked Senator Earle B. Mayfield as costly and criticized the Parker and Haugen bills, while praising Blanton and urging strong support for his Senate race. The resolutions called for retrenchment and better public service.
