Deadline Set for 35th Comanche County Livestock Show

The 35th annual Comanche County Junior Livestock Show entry deadline is December 1. All Comanche County 4 H and 6 H members may enter, with an expected 359 head from Comanche De Leon Gustine Newburg Sidney and Soda Springs. There are eight divisions including Market Steers Lambs Swine Beef Heifers Dairy Heifers Breeding Sheep and Goat and Swine. Entry blanks are available from 4 H leaders vocational teachers or the county extension office. Mail fees and forms to Comanche County Livestock Assn P O Box 842 Comanche 76442 by December 1.

Clint McEwin of Houston takes a year’s subscription as third prize. Jail Break Escapes With Girlfriend Aiding Escape

Jess Kennedy escaped from Comanche County jail with a blade allegedly hidden on his girlfriend a Brownwood teenager. They were stopped near Altus Oklahoma and returned to Comanche after officers confirmed the escape. Kennedy faces jail break charges while the girl is charged with aiding an escape. Kennedy had prior burglary convictions and was awaiting transfer to a state penitentiary.
