Community building planned in Comanche to honor veterans
J B Albert told Comanche Lions Club members that the local American Legion post seeks to sponsor a memorial community building costing about 25 000 to 30 000 dollars. The project aims to serve World Wars I and II veterans and the wider citizenship, pending wholehearted local support. Local leaders Dr C W Gray and A P Cox noted the town lacks a true community center and memorial for veterans. Plans start with appeals to clubs and organizations before fundraising.
