Abilene men Mr. C. W. Williams and his son will run the Comanche Brick Company. They praise the local sand lime brick material as superior and say demand is high. A crew of twenty will start soon, boosting salaries and local business as the plant opens.
The street work started last week was suspended this week and surfacing will not proceed. Crews will establish concrete culverts and crush rock for the project. Mr. Jacobs traveled to Hamilton seeking a roller for reuse, while a crusher and tractor together are seen as the proper solution to fund an improved Comanche street system.

The obituary notes Andrew Jackson Isham known as Uncle Jack died at his home near Comanche at 10:15 Monday night and was buried Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery. Born March 1 1848 in Georgia he moved to Texas with family as a boy. He married Lelia Greene October 4 1867 and they lived near Comanche most of their lives with eight children seven sons and one daughter and 29 grandchildren and four great grandchildren surviving along with his wife and sister Mrs W T Taylor. He joined the Primitive Baptist church in 1899 and served as deacon. He died at age 68 years 8 months 5 days after a brief illness leaving a legacy of faith and quiet conduct.

Survived by his wife and five daughters, his burial took place at Taylors Chapel Wednesday afternoon.
