Peanut Theft Arrests in Texas Ensuing Jail Break
James and Fane Smith of Gorman were arrested by Sheriff Wid Spivey for peanut theft. Fifty five sacks were recovered after arrests. Officers Arrest Two For Burglary In Sidney Case
Sute Lovell and Ed Putty of Carbon were arrested Tuesday by Comanche officers for alleged burglary of the Morris home near Sidney on April. A suit of clothes was recovered at the scene. Lovell and Putty are being held in the Brownwood jail on another charge.

Baptist Church Dedicated as Last Note Burned in Comanche
The First Baptist Church of Comanche was dedicated at an eleven o clock service after the final note against the building was burned before a large crowd. Rev. A Edwin Wilson delivered the sermon, with a church history by L B Russell and George E Smith. The $30 000 structure, begun January and completed September 1925, was built under pastor Rev J C Boyd and a committee led by William Reese and G E Smith.

John Andrew Gage, longtime Comanche resident and carpenter, died in Fort Worth Friday. Born August 26 1867 in Bastrop Texas he joined Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as peace officer and night watchman. Survived by six children nine grandchildren and one sister. wife predeceased him in 1935. Oakwood Cemetery burial with pallbearers named.
