The Comanche Chief will publish a day early next week to mail out on Thursday morning. Merchants can run Thursday and Friday ads with Friday, November 10th treated as a trades day due to stores closing on Saturday, November 11. Contributors are asked to submit items and ad copy early.
Turkey Market Opens Saturday in Comanche
The turkey market opens Saturday November 4 at the Farmers Produce Company's dressing plant. The region expects a larger crop but with quality not quite as good as last year. Five local firms will participate led by Farmers Produce and other named shippers. The opening price may run slightly under fourteen cents, and producers are urged to push No. 1 birds for Thanksgiving while preparing poorer birds for Christmas.

Tire thieves strike five Comanche cars at night
Tire thieves were active Wednesday night in Comanche stealing tires tubes and wheels from five cars. Victims include John E Hoff Ray Hoff C C Shankle Sam Rhein and Mr Moore. one wheel was taken from each car. Two other attempts failed including Marvin Guthrie’s wheel and an unsuccessful break in at Mr and Mrs T C George’s home.
