Repairs on University Property Hit Fifty Thousand Dollars
Austin May 25 Repairs are under way on the University of Texas property both on and off campus. About 15000 is spent this fiscal year to maintain university owned houses as required by an edict of the board of acquisition. The university owns 161 houses with 50 tenants on Breck enridge tract beside the river. Campus upkeep is estimated at 15000 for the year including plumbing and workshop maintenance.

Summer School Credit Offered In Comanche Schools
Supt TB W Speed states students seeking credit for summer work in Comanche schools must complete it in the summer school under teachers chosen by the school board. Johns Hopkins to Establish School of International Relations
May 25 reports approval for a new School of International Relations at Johns Hopkins University in memory of Walter Hines Page. Franklin D. Fire Loss at Ranger Refinery
A fire partly destroyed the Ararb gasoline plant on the J. L. Johnson lease about five miles from Eastland and Ranger. Loss estimated between 75 000 and 100 000 with partial insurance. Fire started by an electric bulb exploding igniting vapors around a cooling tower as inspectors arrived.

Argentine flight plans for round-the-world trip announced

Mrs. Ben McCormick died in San Angelo Saturday night at eight after a two week illness. Funeral held at Comanche with pastor Bev J Boyd officiating. Born June 6 1904 in Mills County she moved to Comanche county as an infant and married Ben McCormick in 1921.
