The Comanche County Agricultural Conservation Committee outlines 1939 AAA payments for farmers. Ex Soldiers Graves To Be Decorated Sunday
The graves of all American soldiers buried at Oakwood Cemetery will be decorated with flags Sunday morning May 28. The American Legion Auxiliary provides the flags and decoration begins at six o'clock. The public is invited to attend and assist. J. H. Six Cars of Wool Shipped From Local Warehouse

Plans to Move Preserve Old Corn Court House to Lake Eanes
Citizens led by J. R. Eanes plan to relocate the two cabins forming the old court house to a lake park. Trustees will complete payment of 225 dollars within 15 days from May 24 or forfeit 25 dollars. The rebuilt building will serve as a pioneer relics and Indian museum in Comanche County at the lake site, costing about 750 dollars with donations sought from residents.

Tom Beene Dies After Illness in Comanche County
Tom H. Beene, 56, a prominent Comanche County farmer of the Shiloh community, died at a German hospital on May 23 after an eighteen day illness. Funeral services were held May 24 at Shiloh with Rev. Walter of Brownwood, Rev. T. N. Carter of Comanche, and Rev. R. M. McGinn of Gustine officiating. Surviving are his wife Myrtle McDonald. children Tom Beene Jr of Sweetwater, Mrs W B Thomas of Merkel, D L Beene of Oildale CA, M O Beene of Comanche, J H Beene of Nacogdoches. brothers Will Beene. sisters Mrs J D Loyd of De Leon, Mrs D H Matthews of Comanche, Mrs James DeWitt of Comanche, Mrs D S Beck of Comanche.
