Hamrick Elected Principal of Gorman High School
Jerry Hamrick, long time assistant football coach and head track coach at Comanche High School, was elected principal of Gorman High School. The Gorman School Board announced the decision Saturday. He is a Howard Payne College graduate and will earn a master’s degree from Brownwood College this summer.

Clean-Up Week Starts In Comanche This Month
Mayor Brightman and the City Council declare May 23 through 28 as Clean-Up Week for Comanche with cooperation from the Chamber of Commerce and Garden Club. Residents are urged to box or sack trash along curbs for city trucks and volunteer crews to collect. A concerted Wednesday effort to cover all city sections will supplement regular pickups all week.
