Helm Couple Mark Golden Wedding in White Point Texas
Mr and Mrs J C Helm quietly observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary Tuesday at their country home three miles south of Comanche in White Point. Helm, nearly blind for nine years and managing diabetes, remains active and mentally engaged, aided by radio and his wife reading to him. The couple, both natives of East Texas, married May 31 in Sulphur Bluff and later studied at the University of Texas, where they spent their moonlit days before moving into teaching and leadership roles.

Bruce Cliff died in Dallas last week and was buried in the De Leon Cemetery Sunday after services at Round Grove by Rev. Ernest Rippetoe. He once operated a barber shop in De Leon before moving to Haskell and later retired to live with his daughter Miss Clara Cliff in Dallas. He married a Rippetoe.
