Mary E Jones Honored At May Tea Shower

Miss Mary E Jones was honored Tuesday afternoon May 13 at a miscellaneous tea shower hosted by Mrs Ben Evridge. About 100 guests attended with a military motif decorations included a cap of red roses and red white blue candle arrangements. Mrs Charles Marshall kept the bride’s book as gifts were displayed in the bedroom after refreshments.

Mrs Kilpatrick's Pupils in Tarleton Piano Recital

Methodist Women Hold Meeting Here

The Women's Society of the Methodist Church met at Mrs. Elkins home on the theme Investing Our Heritage for Christian Education. Leader Mrs Shankle and participants Mescames Lowry Thate Jeanes and Lee shared the program. Co-hostess Mrs Illon assisted as 18 guests enjoyed punch and cookies amid roses honeysuckle and delphinium.

Mrs Wyatt Lee Morris formerly Vanita Jones was feted with a tea at the home of Mrs Cassie B Ellis on Monday night. Roses and cut flowers adorned the rooms. The cake bore embossed flowers and was cut by Miss Barbara Modtris. Mrs Roy Dabney served punch. A bridal register and amusements followed. Guests included Mr J Allen and daughters from Waco and Mr W B Wheeler and son from Grand Saline visiting Comanche for Mother's Day.

Forty five members of the St Clair family gathered for their annual reunion at the Doc St Clair lodge near Granbury on the Palhixy River Sunday.
