Enlarging Of Sewer Plant Is Underway Here
City of Comanche expanded sewer disposal capacity by purchasing 262 acres along the old Cotton Belt right of way in East Comanche. Work remodels and enlarges the plant with a new division due in by Saturday and three ground storage tanks planned near the existing facility. The old plant remains in use, odor control is planned, and absorption area expands from three to about thirty acres. Total project cost about 1500 dollars with 800 for land and 500 for equipment and labor.

The Gustine School ends its term in better financial shape than in years past. Bonds were refunded, interest and principal paid in installments. State Aid totals include Teachers Aid 4885, Vocational Agriculture 900, Home Economics 372, Transportation 2483, High School Tuition 521. The district pays teachers monthly in cash and aims to continue during vacation if 80 percent of salary aid arrives. Transportation costs are trimmed with about 1000 remaining for bus payments, taxes collected, old vouchers paid.

Mrs. Howard Mitchell 21 died in Brownwood hospital May 4. Funeral services were held Thursday at 3:30 at the local Baptist Church, with Rev. A. E. Wilson and Rev. Gordon Barrett officiating. All Farm Work Sheets Due By May 15th
State Office announced the final date for submitting farm work sheets for the Agricultural Conservation Program as May 15. Baptist Revival Brings 81 New Members
