Comanche Jersey Show Draws Countywide Interest
Comanche held its first Jersey Show last Monday drawing countywide entries and visitors. 23 registered Jersey heifers, bought with help from the Comanche Lions Club, were on display, likely the county’s finest dairy cattle gathering. Judge Mark Buckingham assisted by Kay of Dublin and Prof. Clearland of Dublin High School judged cattle while the Comanche Band provided music. Immediately after the parade, calves were cropped on the courthouse lawn for a group photo.

Gustine to begin second reconstruction building Monday
L A Gleaton will start a two story addition on the J P Lee lot for Mr Lee and the Gustine Masonic Lodge. The $5300 structure 50 by 80 feet will house shops and rental space on the lower floor with a lodge room on the upper floor. Isco Railway Seeks Mixed Train Substitute
The Isco Railway Company applied to substitute mixed trains for two daylight passenger trains between Fort Worth and Brownwood via Comanche at 10 am and 1 40 pm. The Brownwood Chamber of Commerce opposes the move. The Railroad Commission will hold a hearing on June 12. The night Pullman train remains unchanged. The line cites growing car usage and declining earnings of about $2,000 monthly.

A car of wool shipped over the Frisco from Comanche to Boston on Wednesday, bought by W. W. Cox of Brady for Company at 400 pounds.
