Grady Cox Dies at 18 in Military Service
Grady Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Cox of this city, died Saturday at 9:45 AM after pneumonia at Fort Sill Oklahoma. He enlisted in February and served in the army. A complete military funeral was held at Fort Sill and his remains were sent to Comanche. He was buried at Pendergrass cemetery near Sidney after services at the Church of Christ. He was esteemed by officers as dependable and cheerful in obedience. The community offers deepest sympathy to his family.

Prominent Comanche Citizen Carroll Dies After Long Life
Morrison William Carroll known as Uncle Bill, longtime Comanche businessman and friend to many, died at home after a long life ending peaceful. Born 1853 in Union City Pennsylvania he moved to Comanche in 1871, worked as a miner and later ran a business starting 1892. He served sixteen years as District Clerk and was active in the Masonic order and Baptist church. He married Catherine Ida Ford about 1880 and left a broad circle of friendships and devout community service.
