Odd Fellows Celebrate 99th Anniversary

Last Friday night the local I O O F and Rebecca Lodges marked the ninety ninth anniversary with a ceremony at the I O O F hall. WW Carroll led the opening ode with Mrs Carroll at the piano, Rev Wilkins offered prayer, then songs and speeches by W H Walker Grand Secretary of the State and Mrs Dora Alexander Grand Secretary Rebeccas of the State and Rev Wilkins. A Rebecca Lodge drill followed as music and songs punctuated the program, enjoyed by all present.

Comanche High Takes Third in Mile Relay at A and M Meet

Comanche High School finished third in the mile relay at the eighth annual interscholastic track meet at A and M College, scoring two points. Greenville High won the relay, Hillsboro led the meet with first place overall, and Comanche reported an excellent time after returning Sunday.
